Saturday Round Up
HAMPSHIRE JUNIOR B CUP FINAL
Saturday 10th April 2010   at Andover New Street

Compton Reserves  0    Vienna Windows      2

Vienna Windows emerged well deserved 2-0 winners against Compton Reserves in the HAMPSHIRE JUNIOR B CUP FINAL at Andover New Street.
The Bournemouth side were awarded a penalty just two minutes into the game when Paul Barber was upended and he took the spot kick himself, sending the 'keeper the wrong way.   Barber lashed a shot against the post midway through the first half and Sam Cummings had a 20 yard shot tipped over the bar.   A defensive slip just before the interval almost proved costly for Vienna but goalkeeper Stephen Marais managed to claw the ball to safety and then Simon Davies had to clear off the line following a corner.
Vienna doubled their lead in the 61st minute when Sam Cummings put a corner in from the right and midfield man Nicholas Reed climbed above everyone to score with a towering header.   Reed then unleashed a fierce 25 yard shot which was pushed over the bar.  Compton twice cleared off the line from the resultant corner and then, in stoppage time, the Compton 'keeper could only parry a Sam Cummings free kick and Andy Harman's attempt to convert the rebound struck a covering defender on the line and cannoned into the grasp of the grateful goalkeeper.

Vienna's influential midfield man Tony West was chosen as "Man of the Match" by Hampshire FA Cup Committee representative John Spalding.

Vienna Windows :- Stephen Marais, Ben Butler, Matthew Biddle, Sam Cummings, Simon Davies, Rob Pyle, Ben Sainsbury (Andy Harman 47 mins), Tony West, Paul Barber (Jamie Dawson 67 mins), Sam Roberts (Danny Aitchison 76 mins), Nicholas Reed.
